Day 14 - Yuzen dyeing activity in Kyoto and flying back home
Today was our last day in Japan. We first took subway to Marumasu-Nishimuraya, a painting and dyeing workshop in Kyoto to learn and experience a Japanese traditional art of Yuzen dyeing. Students learnt its history and tried Yuzen dyeing techniques on handkerchiefs. Now we have a very special souvenir to take home! After stopping at Mos Burger for lunch we then hopped on a train bound for Kansai Airport. Students enjoyed exploring this massive modern structure for last souvenir shopping. Students were sad to end this eventful and unforgettable two weeks in Japan. At the same time, they were also looking forward to going back home to show their photos and share stories with their families and friends, and they can’t wait to sleep in their own beds after a long flight! Thank you very much for reading our blog, and have a great holiday!
